A (Very) Bright New Start

A work in progress - complete with paper labels pinned on the rows not yet sewn together. I guess I'm having a break from the accuracy and long-term dedication of making my sampler quilt (I'll post about the sampler sometime soon).

Super quick, easy as pie, and with fabrics that I really love from Anna Maria Horner.

I know I'm a bit late to the party with these prints, but I couldn't resist scouring the remaining online suppliers here in the UK for the last vestiges of the Good Folks collection. And, boy, am I glad I did.

And a Garden Party print crept into the palette too, since although it didn't fully belong, I couldn't resist it.

My camera skillz are a bit shoddy. But practice - along with reading online tutorials - makes perfect, or so at least Bike Boy tells me.

Eventually perhaps I will learn to take my photos during daylight hours - duh (!) and use the iron first....but I guess for now what you see is what you get.

Oh, and if you want more Good Folks eye candy - and better photography - go here. Enjoy!

  2. Love the colors! Oh my, looks like we're both learning about photography. I didn't know you like textiles and I love this blog too and your writing. I saw an interesting exhibit in December at The Whitney by textile artist Charles LeDray. He makes exhibits with miniature clothing, pretty cool.

  3. Love it love it love it. Just never thought the next time I saw it would be on an acclaimed blog! The last time it was in quite a few bits and spread out on your spare room bed in Hebden.
    Looks amazing. xx
