It's not my birthday.....

...but I did get a big surprise.

For some reason, unfathomable to me, Caroline over at Rubies and Tigers has given me a Liebster Blog award!

After some frantic googling searching on the internet, I found out that this award is for those blogs who have 300 or less subscribers, to create a bit of inter-blog interaction and find some blogs we might like, but may not have found otherwise. Yay!

The rules (apparently) are as follows: -
1. Display the award on a post and link back to the giver of the award. {check}
2. Choose my own blogs (at least three) to give the award to and let them know they have been chosen. {check - see below}
3. Hope everyone discovers some new favourite blogs. {that part's up to you guys}

Sooo...then....since my good friend Charlotte (actual friend and not just a blog friend) already got the award from Caroline, and another good friend Jayne (yes, would you believe it, another actual friend and not just a blog friend) doesn't blog about crafting or knitting or sewing (yet!), I had a good look at the rest of the blogs I subscribe to. And I came up with this, in no particular order:

Inga of Inga's Haven. Inga has a really inspiring approach to life, whether she is baking, renovating, or baking again. And her chair called Einstein is something you must see! And on top of all that she is Scandinavian. Which always helps, I find.

Carolyn over at Fake It While You Make It. Man, oh man is this lady real! No pretending, or taking a picture from an angle that minimises the flaws. Carolyn tells it like it is. And I like it. She can make fab dresses, cute coats, heck, even her undies are brilliant! Her strap line says 'Because let's just admit it...I don't know what the hell I'm doing.' Carolyn, I beg to differ. You might not want to admit it but you have serious skills when it comes to crafting, and sewing, and making me read your blog!

Lisa Ridgely. I just have one word for Lisa's work. Beautiful. No, actually can we make it two? Breathtakingly beautiful. Here are a few examples. I think they speak for themselves. And by the way, her studio is amazing!

Natalie of Greenleaf Goods. Natalie's blog is full of fabulous things. Like gorgeous quilts, handsewn gifts and amazing makeovers.  And she's a really encouraging person. I know because she's encouraged me from the other side of the world. Natalie, you rock!

  5. Hi Ruth, Congratulations! I've just come to your blog via Kootooyo and wanted to say a quick thanks for helping me find some other new blogs too. I've been looking around for some good UK blogs to add to my list for a while. :-)
