Colour Crush finished and a new face!

Wow. A busy few weeks. Apologies for the long absence from posting and commenting (if there is anyone still out there reading this apart from my family - thank you for sticking with it!).

During the past few weeks I've had stomach flu, gained a family member (see more below) and finished this quilt.

Last time  posted about it I was unsure how best to quilt it and asked for advice. Several folks thought wavy lines were the way to go, so I tried it. Not bad for my first attempt at wavy lines - but there are things I would do differently next time.

I aso deliberated over the binding for quite some time, but I went for the red Anna Maria Horner woodcut print in the end - partly because of all the lovely comments about that particular fabric choice.

I'm happy with it. I think the saturated tone finishes it off quite nicely.

And the new face?  The eventual recipient of this quilt? Here she is.

Ronja our long awaited German Shorthaired Pointer pup (it's a Swedish spelling, named after this character). She is every bit as wonderful as we imagined and seems to charm every visitor to the house. <3 <3 <3
