A good job I've finished it too. Sewing is going to have to become my middle name in the next few weeks. Let's see...
I have to finish a pouch.....
And a mini quilt...!
Luckily I've got a fully fledged plan in my head for each, and I've started the cutting for both.
I've had a practice zip sewing session to prepare me for the Mouthy Stitches Pouch, and since I've only made one zippy pouch before I'm going to play it safe with a pouch from this Oh Fransson! pattern.
For the FTLOS swap, I'm going to try my hand at paper piecing (not English paper piecing, but the slightly more scary kind), and I already know my partner loves the fabrics I've chosen. Whoot!
I've also got the swoon to finish...

| Swoon Plan (excuse the rubbish ipad photo - why can't they put decent cameras in those things?) |
I've done all the cutting and the first stage of piecing for the four blocks I've planned.
Crikey, is it that time already? I'd better get cracking!

Love the colours in your sneaky peaky :-) Is it a top-secret pressie?
ReplyDeleteNo, not a pressie, although I might give it away eventually...!
DeleteOoh! I like this newfangled reply thingy!
DeleteThe sneeky peek looks beautiful and I`m in the same position with swaps to finish up! Can`t wait to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteLooking intruiging! love the colours too!

What great colours, love the wave quilt in the last post too.
ReplyDeleteSame swaps. Same ridiculously busy time. But not got near as good sneaky peeks to show. Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteWe will get there! And your lemon drizzle cake is fuelling my efforts!
DeleteIf you get tired of the lemon drizzle go and try the chocolate flapjacks. Addictive!!!
DeleteI can't wait to see more of your sneak peek! I've been itching to get my hands on some of that quilt blocks fabric.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else, those colours are scrumptious... I wonder what it is!?!
ReplyDeleteSneaky, sneaky indeed! I look forward to seeing what you made. :) Love the colours you used - so bright and cheerful. Question... where is a good source of solids... and how different are they to homespun fabric? (Can you tell I'm a novice? lol)
ReplyDeleteI buy most of the fabrics I use online. I'm in the UK so not sure how relevant - but the blue solid and the solids I'll be using for the swap came from www.backstitch.co.uk and are by klona. They are a touch thicker than other quilting fabrics I've used, but it makes them very easy to sew with!
DeleteIt looks like I better hang around for a month :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you're working on!
Your sneak peak is very intriguing and I'm looking forward to your swoon block :)
ReplyDeleteoohhh! looking forward to the big reveal!. i love that fabric line. i think some of it has to come to my house soon. You are busy busy!
