This fantabulous wall quilt arrived for me last week. All the way from the USA.
Just look at the detail! The hand stitching is lovely, and the ripples of machine stitching echoing the appliqued leaves - just gorgeous.
Even the back is brilliant!
My partner was Miss Stash Wood; who had gone to great lengths to find a design and colour scheme that I would like. Lynne - thank you so much - you are amazing!
But that's not all. I have to admit that I felt slightly guilty when I opened the package and found that she had included a tote bag, a keyring and a notebook cover (all handmade), and some orange fabric, a magazine and a box of chocolates (those, of course, have been eaten and greatly appreciated by now).
Just look!
I only sent my partner a wall quilt and a bundle of fat quarters. I feel very undeserving, but very, very grateful!
Oh yes, and I mustn't forget my announcement. My hubby and I (plus our fur baby) will be moving from Hebden Bridge, UK, to A Little Red House in the Big Forest, Sweden, sometime in July. Hubs is Swedish, so it's 'back home' for him!
This means that we are very busy finalising our house sale and packing all our worldly possessions into boxes (hubby: bikes, Ruth: sewing kit and kitchen equipment - this really hurts, Ronja: toy ferret) so there may be a temporary interruption to service!
The positive side, though, is that if you are following this blog, or following @cherrytwistblog on twitter, you can come along with us to the little red house in the big forest, and share our adventure! The more the merrier! Deal?
This post hs been shared here, here and here!

Looking forward to following your adventures on here! x
